SAUGERTIES — A Cairo, N.Y., man was arrested on a felony forgery charge following a traffic stop in Saugerties early Friday morning, police said.
Michael A. Ortiz III, 22, was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree after being stopped by officers at approximately 12:10 a.m. on April 18 on Market Street.
Ortiz was processed at the Saugerties Police Department headquarters and released with an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court at a later date.
