OSWEGATCHIE — State Police arrested a 25-year-old Ogdensburg man on multiple charges including possession of stolen property and controlled substances on April 21.
Austin M. Eggleson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, possession of a stolen credit card, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Troopers responded to a larceny complaint on State Highway 812 in Oswegatchie at approximately 11:31 a.m. on April 20.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department had already taken Eggleson into custody for an active warrant.
During a search, officers discovered a credit card and a knife on Eggleson that did not belong to him.
The investigation confirmed Eggleson was in possession of the stolen items.
After processing at SP Ogdensburg, Eggleson was arraigned in the City of Ogdensburg Court and initially released on his own recognizance.
He was later remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail due to incidents involving other agencies.
