LONGMEADOW — Police arrested a Springfield man Thursday after residents reported a suspicious person in their neighborhood, leading officers to catch him climbing through a window of a home.
Officers responded to Green Willow Drive at approximately 11 a.m. after multiple residents called about a man who appeared to be casing the area.
Officers Kevin Rowley and Blake Martin located the suspect, identified as Edward Flynn of Union Street in Springfield, as he was climbing through a back window of a residence.
Flynn was arrested without incident at the scene.
Police determined Flynn had attempted to enter at least one other house in the area.
Flynn, who had two outstanding arrest warrants, was charged with breaking and entering into a residence during the daytime with intent to commit a felony, malicious damage, possession of burglarious tools, and attempted breaking and entering into a residence during the daytime with intent to commit a felony.
