In Chateaugay, compliant businesses were Dollar General, Lavigne’s IGA, Sunoco, Mountain Mart, Chat Away Quick Stop, and Stewart’s.

Additional businesses passing the checks were Dollar General in Constable, Farm to Market Country Store in Bangor, Mountain Mart and Dollar General in Moira, Mad Joe’s Convenience Store in Moira, Stewart’s in Brushton, Dollar General in Dickinson, and St. Regis Falls Quick Stop in Waverly.

During these investigations, businesses were checked using a trooper in plainclothes and underage operatives who were not permitted to lie about their age or provide false identification.

State Police commended the retail establishments for their due diligence in ensuring alcoholic beverages are not sold or provided to individuals under 21 years of age.
