DANBURY — Danbury police seized approximately 130 bags of fentanyl and 16 grams of cocaine during a raid at a Michael Street residence Monday morning.

The April 21 operation was conducted by the Danbury Police Department’s Special Investigations Division with assistance from several other units and a Bethel Police officer.

Officers executed court-authorized search and seizure warrants at 13 Michael Street following numerous citizen complaints about suspected narcotics activity.

The primary suspect attempted to flee to the bathroom but was quickly apprehended by detectives, according to police.

In addition to the fentanyl and cocaine, officers seized 11 Buprenorphine films, approximately $770 in cash, and two electronic scales.

Two additional individuals with active arrest warrants were also located in the residence and taken into custody.

The Danbury Police Department credited citizen reports for helping to initiate the investigation.
