2 Massachusetts men indicted in Lancaster Tesla Cybertruck vandalism

LANCASTER — Two Massachusetts men were indicted Friday by a Coös County Grand Jury for allegedly vandalizing a Tesla Cybertruck, according to County Attorney John McCormick.

James Pelis, 55, was indicted on one count of criminal mischief for allegedly damaging the driver side panels of a Tesla Cybertruck with a sharp object, causing damage in excess of $1,500.

Charles Smith, 52, was indicted on one count of accomplice to the crime of criminal mischief.

The charges are class B felonies, carrying a possible sentence of 3½ to 7 years in the New Hampshire State Prison.

The indictments were announced at 11 a.m. at the Coös County Courthouse.
