PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested five individuals on various charges during traffic stops in Providence and Pawtucket over the weekend.
On Saturday at 3:33 p.m., troopers arrested Amber O’Connell, 34, of Quincy, Massachusetts, during a traffic stop on Public Street in Providence.
O’Connell was wanted on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a simple assault charge from the Warwick Police Department.
On Saturday at 10:33 p.m., Albert Perez, 30, of Providence, was arrested during a traffic stop on Fountain Street in Pawtucket.
Perez was wanted on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on a charge of driving with a suspended license, fourth or subsequent offense.
On Sunday at 11:16 p.m., troopers arrested Jonathan Torres, 37, of Woonsocket, during a traffic stop on Orms Street in Providence.
Torres was wanted on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on a charge of possession of a Schedule I-V substance under 10 grams.
On Sunday at 12:06 a.m., Adrian Nkwocha, 36, of Columbia, South Carolina, was arrested during a traffic stop on India Street in Providence.
Nkwocha faces charges of obstruction, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
He was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a future court date in 6th Division District Court.
He was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
All three warrant suspects were processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Corrections Institutions.
