PORTLAND — Portland Police arrested a 31-year-old man Sunday morning following a shooting that left a woman injured inside an Oak Street apartment.
Officers responded to 72 Oak Street at 8:18 a.m. on April 20 after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found a 36-year-old Portland woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The department’s Special Reaction Team and Criminal Investigations Division were called to assist with the incident.
Less than an hour after the initial call, officers located and apprehended the suspect near the corner of Clifton Street and Vannah Avenue.
Tanade Muse of Portland was arrested and charged with multiple offenses including Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, Domestic Violence Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Falsifying Physical Evidence and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Muse was transported to the Cumberland County Jail following his arrest.
