OSSINING — A two-vehicle crash on Route 9A sent multiple people to the hospital after a pickup truck rolled over and caught fire late Monday night.

The Ossining Fire Department responded to the northbound lanes of Route 9A near the Ossining Operations Center shortly after 10 p.m. Monday following reports of a rollover accident with a vehicle on fire.

Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps personnel already at the scene directed firefighters to access the crash site by traveling southbound in the northbound lanes from Route 134, as the roadway was completely shut down.

The collision involved a pickup truck, which had rolled onto its side, and a sedan, according to fire officials.

All occupants had managed to exit their vehicles before emergency services arrived.

The injured were transported to Westchester Medical Center, though their current conditions remain unknown.

Officials said the crash may have resulted from a wrong-way driver, but the incident remains under investigation by Ossining Police.

Fire units were released from the scene shortly before midnight.
