NEWBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a Newbury man on an outstanding warrant Sunday evening following a reported domestic dispute on U.S. Route 302.
Theodore Garrison, 60, was taken into custody at approximately 6:25 p.m. on April 20 during a traffic stop near his residence.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks had been responding to the alleged domestic incident when they spotted a vehicle leaving the property.
The vehicle contained Garrison and another person involved in the dispute, according to police.
During the traffic stop, authorities discovered Garrison had an active arrest warrant stemming from a previous violation of an abuse prevention order.
Garrison was transported to Northeast Regional Correctional Complex where he was held for lack of $100 bail.
