Moretown man cited for DUI after rear-end crash on Route 100B

MORETOWN — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 100B near Freeman Hill Road at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Wilfred Bussiere, 31, of Northfield, was cited for driving under the influence after his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended another vehicle.

The second vehicle, a 2018 Buick ECR, was driven by Octavia Gilmore, 71, of Woodstock.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and neither sustained injuries in the collision.

Investigation revealed Bussiere was impaired at the time of the crash, according to state police.

Bussiere was taken into custody and processed at the Berlin Police Department.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Washington Superior Court – Criminal Division.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash, which occurred under clear weather conditions on dry pavement.
