MIDDLEBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a 39-year-old Middlebury man on multiple charges involving a 15-year-old female following an investigation that began in March.
Daniel Cioffredi was taken into custody on April 21 and faces charges of luring a child, promoting a recording of sexual conduct, disseminating indecent material to a minor, and dispensing cannabis to an individual under 21.
The alleged offenses occurred between September 2024 and March 2025, according to state police.
Investigators began looking into Cioffredi on March 23 after receiving reports involving the teenage victim.
Cioffredi was processed at the New Haven Barracks and released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
The Vermont Attorney General’s Office requested the citation and release.
Detectives were assisted in their investigation by members of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Children and Families.
