Man faces DUI #2 after Saxtons River crash

SAXTONS RIVER — Vermont State Police arrested a Westminster man on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

Troopers responded to a report of a crash on Vermont Route 121 in Saxtons River at 5:53 p.m. on April 20.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the driver, identified as Jeremy Ritchie, 37, of Westminster.

During their interaction with Ritchie, troopers observed signs of impairment, according to police.

Ritchie was arrested for suspicion of DUI, his second such offense, and transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

After processing, Ritchie was released with a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on May 13 at 8:30 a.m.
