Man arrested for DWI in Homer

HOMER — A 22-year-old Oneonta man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other traffic offenses after a vehicle stop in the village, police said.

Officers from the Homer Police Department stopped a vehicle driven by Kaspar L. Gray on South Main Street at approximately 1:54 a.m. on April 16 after observing it traveling at a high rate of speed.

During the traffic stop, officers determined Gray was operating the vehicle while intoxicated and had an open alcoholic beverage in the center console.

Gray was arrested without incident and transported to the Homer Police Department for processing.

He was released on traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Homer Court on May 6 at 4 p.m.

Gray faces charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of an open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, speed in zone, and improper U-turn.
