No injuries in Killington crash as truck turns in front of car

KILLINGTON — A two-vehicle collision occurred on Killington Road at Miller Brook Road on April 19 at approximately 3:25 p.m., according to Vermont State Police.

Kyle Mercier, 33, of Westfield, was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Killington Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto Miller Brook Road.

Angelina Pinto, 19, of Poultney, was also traveling north on Killington Road in a 2004 Toyota Corolla when Mercier’s truck turned in front of her vehicle, resulting in a collision.

Mercier’s 8-year-old passenger, Keyara Mercier, was properly restrained at the time of the crash.

No injuries were reported by either driver or the passenger.

The Silverado sustained moderate damage to the driver’s side rear door, while the Corolla suffered significant damage to the passenger side fender, door, wheel well, and hood.

Despite the damage, both vehicles remained operational and were driven from the scene.

Road conditions were reported as damp but clear under overcast skies.

Civil violation charges are pending, according to authorities.
