Man killed, another injured in Roxbury shooting

BOSTON — A man was fatally shot late Saturday in the Roxbury neighborhood, according to Boston police officials.

Officers responded to 2343 Washington Street around 11:03 p.m. on April 19 after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second victim with non-life-threatening injuries later arrived at a local hospital on their own, police said.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
