SHOREHAM — A Mount Holly man faces multiple charges including driving under the influence after allegedly fleeing the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving an ATV on Saturday.
Vermont State Police responded to a crash on Lake Street near the intersection with Watch Point Road at approximately 5 p.m. on April 19.
The operator of the ATV, identified as Michael J. Harris, 40, of Mount Holly, reportedly fled the scene after the collision.
Troopers discovered Harris had been carrying three passengers in the ATV at the time of the crash.
Authorities later located Harris at a nearby residence where they observed signs of impairment.
Harris was arrested and transported to the New Haven State Police Barracks for processing.
He was released to a sober adult and issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on May 5 at 12:30 p.m.
Harris faces charges of DUI (first offense), leaving the scene of an accident, and three counts of reckless endangerment.
