FALL RIVER — A 25-year-old man was arrested following a road rage incident that led to the discovery of firearms and marijuana, according to police.
Patrol Bureau officers responded to a report of a road rage incident near Plymouth Avenue and Pleasant Street on April 19 at approximately 2 p.m.
The suspect allegedly assaulted another individual with a handgun before fleeing the scene.
Officers located both the suspect vehicle and its operator shortly after the incident.
During the investigation, police recovered two improperly stored firearms — a 9mm Taurus and a .380 S&W Bodyguard — along with approximately 5 pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution.
Jose-Luis Soto-Morales, 25, was arrested and charged with assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Authorities seized Soto-Morales’ License to Carry and the firearms.
