BOSTON — Six juveniles were arrested following a disturbance involving over one hundred young people at South Bay Plaza on Saturday, April 19.

Officers from District C-6 responded to Lucy Street and District Avenue around 5:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a large gathering of juveniles.

Upon arrival, police observed multiple fights breaking out and objects being thrown at people from the parking garage.

When officers instructed the group to disperse, they relocated to a bus stop at 11 Allstate Road where another fight erupted.

Police arrested two 14-year-old males at the scene, charging them with delinquency, affray and disorderly conduct.

During the arrests, a 13-year-old male allegedly punched an officer in the head after refusing commands to step back.

A 13-year-old female was also arrested after allegedly shouting at officers, then striking one in the nose when they attempted to guide her from the area.

Both 13-year-olds face charges of assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct, with the male additionally charged with resisting arrest.

While still on scene, officers observed a 17-year-old male point a blue pellet rifle at them and pull the trigger before being quickly disarmed.

A 15-year-old female allegedly committed a similar act with an orange pellet rifle before fleeing the scene, though she later arrived at the police station where she was arrested.

The two older teens were charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, with the male facing additional charges of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

All six juveniles are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
