PUTNEY — A local man faces charges of driving under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest after state police encountered a suspicious vehicle Saturday morning.
Lee M. Stockwell, 41, of Putney, was arrested April 19 at approximately 9:11 a.m. on East Putney Brook Road, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers determined through investigation that Stockwell was operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
Authorities said Stockwell resisted arrest before being transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing.
Stockwell was charged with DUI Drug #2 Refusal and Resisting Arrest.
He was released with a criminal citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on June 17 at 8:30 a.m.
