CANTON — A Canton man reported missing earlier this month has been safely located, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Nathan Benedict, who had been missing since April 3, was found safe on April 19 at 2:12 p.m., authorities said.
Benedict was last seen on surveillance footage walking away from his residence on Judson Street Road wearing a black jacket with fur hood, black baseball cap, glasses, blue jeans and black shoes.
The Sheriff’s Office had asked residents in the area of Judson Street Road, State Highway 310 and surrounding areas to check security footage for possible sightings.
Authorities thanked the public for their assistance in locating Benedict, but did not provide details about where he was found or the circumstances of his disappearance.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating Benedict’s disappearance since he was reported missing more than two weeks ago.
