VALLEY STREAM — The Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at the intersection of Damson Lane and Woodland Road just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, Chief Anthony Capone discovered a motorcycle on fire that was quickly spreading to two nearby homes.
Firefighters rapidly extinguished the blaze, preventing further damage to the residences.
Mutual aid was provided by the Elmont, Malverne, and Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Departments.
Engine 343 and Ladder 346 were first to arrive at the scene.
