MILTON — Vermont State Police arrested a 30-year-old transient man on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on Interstate 89 North Thursday evening.
Troopers pulled over Kevin Harris Jr. at approximately 8:48 p.m. near mile marker 103.8 in Milton for a moving violation.
During the stop, officers discovered Harris had an active in-state warrant for simple assault.
Harris was taken into custody and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility, where he was held for lack of $200 bail.
He was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division on April 18 at 8:30 a.m. to face the misdemeanor simple assault charge.
