MILTON — A Montreal woman was cited for negligent operation after allegedly driving 112 mph on Interstate 89 in Milton.
On April 17 at approximately 10:41 p.m., a Vermont State Trooper from the Williston Barracks was monitoring southbound traffic on Interstate 89 near mile marker 102 in Milton.
The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed, recording the vehicle at 112 mph in a posted 65 mph zone.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Anne Gill, 30, of Montreal, Quebec.
Gill was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for violating Title 23 Section 1004 – Interstate Speed, which carries 2 points and a $696 waiver penalty.
She was also issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on May 29 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of Negligent Operation.
