MANCHESTER — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a driver who fled after striking a bicyclist at a city intersection Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the intersection of Union Street and Harrison Street around 9 a.m. April 16, where they found a 63-year-old man with minor injuries.

The victim told police he had been riding west on Harrison Street and was crossing Union Street when he was hit by an SUV traveling south on Union.

According to the victim, the driver briefly pulled over on the southwest side of the intersection but then drove away, heading south on Union Street before turning west onto Prospect Street without checking on the bicyclist.

Police have identified the suspect vehicle as a newer model silver Jeep Compass.
