SOUTH WINDSOR — Two Massachusetts residents were arrested Wednesday after allegedly stealing approximately $600 worth of merchandise from an Old Navy store, police said.

Brenda L. Figueroa, 37, and Betzaida Rodriguez-Garay, 39, both of Springfield, were taken into custody at the store located at 101 Evergreen Way around 2:58 p.m. on April 16.

Both suspects were charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree and larceny in the fifth degree.

They were processed and released on $10,000 non-surety bonds.

Figueroa and Rodriguez-Garay are scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 30 at 9 a.m.

In a separate incident, South Windsor police arrested Alison Holden, 25, of Madison on Thursday on charges of third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

Holden’s arrest stemmed from a February incident in which she allegedly struck asset protection agents with her shopping cart while leaving Target with approximately $500 worth of merchandise.

Holden, who was already in state custody on charges from other jurisdictions, was processed and presented at Manchester Superior Court on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, police arrested Khamari Z. Israel, 25, of Hartford, for reckless driving, operation without minimum insurance, and improper use of a marker plate.

An officer observed Israel traveling 54 mph in a 30 mph zone near Foster Road and Strong Road, and then 78 mph in a 40 mph zone on Sullivan Avenue around 8:54 p.m.

Israel was also found to have the wrong license plate on his vehicle and no insurance.

He was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on May 5 at 9 a.m.
