WATERBURY — Police arrested two people and seized crack cocaine and heroin during a raid at a Cooke Street residence on April 9.
Officers from multiple units of the Waterbury Police Department executed a search warrant at 122 Cooke St. around 11:15 a.m., according to police.
Authorities said they observed Maliek Johnson, 30, of Waterbury, leaving the residence and entering a vehicle parked outside.
The vehicle was operated by Charmaine Reed, 32, also of Waterbury.
During the search, officers seized crack cocaine, 133 bags of heroin, and drug paraphernalia.
Johnson was charged with operating a drug factory and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Reed faces charges including assault on a police officer, interfering with a police officer, failure to carry an insurance card, failure to wear seat safety belts, operating a motor vehicle with insufficient insurance, and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
