SOMERVILLE — Somerville police responded to multiple assaults and break-ins across the city last week, including an incident where a victim was struck with a baseball bat.
On April 8 at approximately 12:57 p.m., officers responded to 165 Broadway for a reported fight where a male suspect allegedly punched a female victim in the face during an argument.
The male suspect was located nearby and placed under arrest, according to police reports.
In a more serious incident on April 10 at approximately 11:15 p.m., police were called to Davis Square after a victim reported being struck with a baseball bat during an altercation with a male who had exited a vehicle.
Earlier that same day, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a residence in Davis Square where a victim reported house keys had been stolen from inside their apartment.
On April 13 at approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to a business on Broadway where a group of teens allegedly caused a disturbance, with one teen slapping an employee before leaving.
Later that evening, at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers were called to a residence on Warner Street where residents returned home to find a window open and jewelry and cash missing.
The following day, April 14 at approximately 7:36 p.m., police responded to another Broadway business where a victim reported that during an argument, a known male brandished and pointed a knife at them.
Police also reported several other crimes during the week, including one moped theft, four bicycle thefts, six package thefts, and three motor vehicle vandalisms.
