PRATTSBURGH — A 37-year-old Prattsburgh man was arrested Thursday following a domestic altercation in which he allegedly assaulted another person and stole their phone.
Charles H. Graner IV of County Route 7 was charged with multiple offenses including two class D felonies: third-degree robbery and making a terroristic threat, according to Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard.
Deputies responded to a reported domestic incident on April 17 where Graner allegedly struck and pushed another person, causing physical injury.
Authorities say Graner stole the victim’s phone and damaged it when they attempted to call 911.
During the investigation, Graner allegedly threatened and physically fought with deputies, resisting arrest and attempting to prevent them from completing their investigation.
The victim received treatment at the scene from Steuben County EMS.
In addition to the felony charges, Graner faces counts of third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
Graner was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and subsequently released.
