SULLIVAN COUNTY — A 20-year-old Tennessee man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly soliciting sexually explicit material from two 14-year-old juveniles in Newport, police announced.

Jacob Isaiah Haun of Johnson City, Tennessee, was arrested April 17 following an investigation that began in early March when the Newport Police Department received reports of online solicitation.

Investigators executed more than two dozen search warrants for social media providers, internet service providers, and wireless telephone providers before identifying Haun as the suspect.

Haun faces several New Hampshire charges including manufacture of child sexual abuse images, conspiracy to commit manufacture of child sexual abuse images, trafficking in persons, indecent exposure and lewdness, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Newport Police investigators traveled to Johnson City where they executed search and arrest warrants on Haun and his residence with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Tennessee authorities also charged Haun with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

Haun will face charges in Tennessee first before New Hampshire authorities seek his extradition to face charges in Sullivan Superior Court.

The Newport Police Department, an affiliate agency of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, received assistance from multiple agencies including the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Johnson City Police Department.

Police said additional juvenile victims and adult suspects have been identified in multiple other states, and more arrests and charges are anticipated.
