FAIRHAVEN — A 33-year-old Fairhaven man was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly pointing a loaded firearm at another motorist during a road rage incident on Route 6.

Dillan Flores was taken into custody by Fairhaven Police after the incident, which occurred around 7:17 a.m.

Police received a call from a victim who reported that while driving east on Route 6 near Shaw Road, a white Dodge Caravan pulled alongside his vehicle.

The victim told police that the lone occupant of the Caravan pointed a handgun at him and his male passenger as they were heading to work.

The Caravan then sped eastbound into Mattapoisett, according to police.

Mattapoisett Police later located and stopped the white Caravan in the area of 88 North Street in Mattapoisett.

Fairhaven Police responded to the location and arrested Flores, who was allegedly in possession of a loaded firearm.

Authorities said Flores does not possess a Massachusetts License to Carry and is charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license to carry, possession of ammunition without an FID, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

He will be arraigned at Third District Court in New Bedford.
