ST. JOHNSBURY — A Jericho man was arrested for his second DUI offense after speeding past state troopers who were concluding another traffic stop on Route 2 in St. Johnsbury.
Benjamin Haynes, 30, was taken into custody at approximately 7:46 p.m. on April 16.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police initiated a traffic stop after observing Haynes’ vehicle passing them at a high rate of speed.
During the investigation, troopers determined Haynes was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Haynes was transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing on charges of DUI #2.
