CHILI — A recently paroled felon was arrested after Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen Kia and discovered a second stolen vehicle near the suspect’s residence early Thursday morning.

Deputies responded to a Paul Road residence at 2:51 a.m. April 17 for a report of a stolen Kia.

During the investigation, authorities received a call about a domestic disturbance on Audino Lane involving the same suspect.

Upon arrival at the apartment complex, deputies located the stolen Kia with keys still inside.

Witnesses told deputies the suspect was fleeing through the complex on foot.

Gregory Fingland, 44, of Chili, was apprehended after a brief chase.

Deputies also discovered a flatbed truck stuck in mud near Fingland’s residence, which was determined to be stolen from the Town of Brighton.

Fingland has been charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree, a Class D felony.

Authorities report Fingland had been released to New York State Parole supervision just one week earlier, on April 10.

He was transported to Monroe County Jail, arraigned in CAP Court and is being held without bail.
