CHEEKTOWAGA — A Cheektowaga man was arrested after authorities discovered suspected narcotics in the presence of a 2-year-old child, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

Kevin O’Sullivan Jr. was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and acting in a manner injurious to a child, both Class A misdemeanors.

The arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at 87 Madeira Drive on April 15 by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit, assisted by the Town of Cheektowaga Police Department.

O’Sullivan was found inside the residence and detained without incident.

Authorities recovered several items from the residence, including a glass pipe with suspected cocaine residue, a soda can with suspected fentanyl residue, a plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance, two plastic vials containing a white powdery substance, and a plastic vial containing unknown pills.

All narcotic evidence was found in the immediate vicinity of the 2-year-old child, according to officials.

O’Sullivan was released on a desk appearance ticket.
