BROADALBIN — A 56-year-old Broadalbin man was arrested after allegedly firing a gun in the direction of a neighbor, State Police said.

William A. Mickan was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon following the April 14 incident.

At about 10:25 p.m., State Police from the Fonda barracks responded to a report of a person being menaced with a firearm.

Investigators determined that Mickan had allegedly exited his home and recklessly discharged a firearm in the direction of the victim, who was standing in a neighboring driveway.

The victim was not injured and fled the area before contacting law enforcement.

Mickan was arrested at his home, where police also seized the firearm involved in the incident.

He was processed at the State Police barracks in Mayfield and transported to the Fulton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
