SALAMANCA — Three people were arrested on drug charges after deputies discovered suspected crack cocaine during a traffic stop early Thursday morning.
At approximately 5:31 a.m., Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop on Murray Avenue in Salamanca.
The driver, Myah N. Seeley, 25, of Limestone, immediately exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
Deputies apprehended Seeley after a brief pursuit and observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle.
K9 Lex was deployed to confirm the presence of controlled substances.
A subsequent search of the vehicle and Seeley yielded suspected crack cocaine, a scale with white residue, multiple packaging materials, pipes with residue, and $137 in cash.
Two passengers, David R. Larkin, 45, of Killbuck, and Anthony J. Piscitelli, 33, of Salamanca, were also taken into custody.
Larkin and Piscitelli were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Both men were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.
Seeley faces multiple felony charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree with intent to sell, tampering with physical evidence, and resisting arrest.
She was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Seeley was held at the Salamanca Police Department pending a court appearance.
