WILMINGTON — A 34-year-old Wilmington man was arrested Wednesday morning after police discovered he was violating an abuse prevention order and conditions of release.
Nicholas Dow was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by a Vermont State Police trooper on Vermont Route 9 near Hughes Road at approximately 8:05 a.m.
During the traffic stop, which was initiated for an observed violation, the trooper determined that Dow had active conditions of release and an active relief of abuse order prohibiting him from being with the vehicle’s operator.
Dow was taken into custody and transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing.
He was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on April 16 at 12:30 p.m.
Authorities set bail at $2,500 and imposed additional conditions of release.
