Richmond troopers make multiple arrests in 24-hour period

RICHMOND — Rhode Island State Police made four arrests in a 24-hour period following traffic stops on Route 95, according to officials.

On Tuesday, April 15 at 4:08 p.m., Troopers Reyes arrested Lenna A. Perri, 47, of Hartford, Connecticut, for driving after denial of license and forgery of registration plates following a stop in Richmond.

Perri was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and held at the Women’s Intake Center pending morning arraignment at Fourth Division District Court as a bail and probation violator.

Later that evening at 8:15 p.m., troopers arrested Chanel M. Barr, 42, of Providence, Rhode Island, on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference with $1,000 surety on an original vandalism charge from the East Providence Police Department.

Barr’s arrest occurred during a traffic stop in West Greenwich.

She was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, presented before a Justice of the Peace, and released.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 16 at 2:17 a.m., troopers arrested Jonathan Asencio Perez, 32, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, following a traffic stop in West Greenwich.

Perez faces charges including carrying a pistol without a license, two counts of possessing prohibited large capacity feeding devices, and forgery of registration plates.

During the same traffic stop, troopers also arrested Manuel Rodriguez Angueira, 31, also of Fayetteville, North Carolina, on charges of carrying a pistol without a license and two counts of possessing prohibited large capacity feeding devices.

Both North Carolina men were processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
