MALDEN — Police executed a search warrant at a home on Holden Street Thursday morning, resulting in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, a firearm with ammunition, and allegedly stolen property.
The raid, which caused a noticeable police presence in the area, was conducted by Malden Police with assistance from the Malden Special Operations Unit.
The search was part of a drug investigation led by Detective Sergeant Steve Fitzpatrick, with support from the Everett Police Drug Unit.
Jorge Ortega was arrested during the operation and faces drug and firearms-related charges.
Ortega is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
