PUTNEY — Vermont State Police are searching for the driver of a white Subaru Impreza who fled from a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Putney Thursday morning.
At approximately 8:57 a.m. on April 10, a state trooper attempted to stop the vehicle after observing a motor vehicle violation.
The driver of the Subaru, which has a distinctive black unpainted bumper, failed to stop when signaled by the trooper.
Police did not pursue the vehicle after the driver fled.
Authorities are investigating the incident as a case of attempting to elude and leaving the scene of an accident.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or its owner is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks and ask for Trooper Guillaume.
