NORTH HAVEN — A 77-year-old man died following a domestic violence incident Tuesday night, according to North Haven police.
Officers responded to a Pleasant Drive address at approximately 8:40 p.m. for a reported stabbing.
The first officer on scene found one victim outside the home with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were informed that a second victim might be inside the residence.
Officers entered the home and discovered a male suffering from several wounds with heavy blood loss.
While searching the area, police located a suspect on a nearby street and took him into custody.
David Pagan, 40, of North Haven, has been charged with murder and first-degree assault in connection with the incident.
Pagan is being held on a $2,000,000 bond.
Police said the incident involved family members and is isolated, with no threat to the public.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the New Haven States Attorney’s Office and Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit.
