BOURNE — A single-car crash on Mirasol Drive caused a power outage Tuesday after a Jeep Wrangler struck an electrical box and fled the scene, according to Bourne police.
Officers responded to the area of 58 Mirasol Drive at approximately 5:44 p.m. following reports of the crash.
Witnesses described a blue Jeep Wrangler that had run off the road and hit an electrical box before leaving the scene.
While searching the area, officers were approached by the vehicle’s operator, a 47-year-old Bourne man, who appeared to be suffering from a medical condition.
Bourne Rescue evaluated the man at the scene, determining he was not injured in the crash and did not require hospital transport.
Police concluded through their investigation that the incident was not criminal in nature.
Eversource crews worked to restore power to affected residents, completing repairs by 10 p.m., ahead of their initial 10:30 p.m. estimate.
