Weathersfield man arrested after domestic disturbance on Gulf Road

WEATHERSFIELD — Vermont State Police arrested a 65-year-old Weathersfield man Monday night following a reported domestic disturbance at a residence on Gulf Road.

Michael Wahlert was taken into custody at approximately 8:44 p.m. on April 14 after troopers from the Westminster Barracks responded to the scene.

Investigators determined there was probable cause to arrest Wahlert on a charge of domestic assault.

The victim, a 70-year-old Weathersfield resident, was not identified by police in accordance with state policy regarding victims of domestic violence.

Wahlert was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

He was later released on a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windsor Criminal Division on April 15 at 12:30 p.m.
