SHARON — On April 14, Sharon police arrested a man wanted by MBTA Transit Police after discovering a firearm in his backpack.
Detective Pasco of the Sharon Police Department was working on an unrelated case when he ran a plate on a suspicious vehicle.
Police learned that a man associated with the vehicle was wanted by MBTA Transit Police.
Officers Lee, Awad, Sgt. Hertzberg, K9 Officer Then, and K9 Benny responded to the area with MBTA Transit Police.
The man was placed under arrest without incident.
K9 Benny alerted officers to a backpack in the man’s possession.
A gun was found inside the backpack.
