PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested a North Providence man on multiple warrants Monday at a homeless encampment in Providence.

Jayson Esposito, 40, of 2 Terino Drive, was taken into custody at 10:16 a.m. on April 14.

Esposito was arrested on three Providence Superior Court full bench warrants for failure to appear for violation hearings related to first-degree sexual assault charges from the North Providence and Providence Police Departments.

He also faced a bench warrant for failing to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on charges of failing to notify authorities of an address change as a registered sex offender, stemming from the Johnston Police Department.

Additionally, Esposito was wanted on active arrest warrants from the Cranston, Newport, and Pawtucket Police Departments for sex offender registration violations.

Troopers processed Esposito at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before transporting him to Providence Superior Court for arraignment.
