CAYUGA — A Union Springs man was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and criminal contempt after deputies responded to a domestic incident early April 11 in the Village of Cayuga, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Deputies were dispatched to the incident at 3:05 a.m. and began interviewing the victim at the scene.
While deputies spoke with the victim, Robert J. Giannone, 34, arrived at the location.
Deputies determined that Giannone unlawfully entered the victim’s residence, in violation of an order of protection.
Giannone was arrested at the scene and transported to the Cayuga County Jail.
He appeared in Centralized Arraignment Part court at 7:00 a.m. the same day, where bail was set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
Giannone was released after posting bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Aurelius Town Court on April 16 at 7:00 p.m.
