ROCKLAND — Two individuals were arrested on drug-related charges Monday night after police discovered fentanyl and other narcotics during a traffic stop near a suspected drug trafficking location.

Annie Gross, 37, of Warren, was arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking and violation of conditions of release after officers found just over 3 grams of fentanyl and several smaller amounts of suspected narcotics in the vehicle.

At the time of her arrest, Gross was already on multiple sets of bail conditions, including for a drug charge from a traffic stop in Rockland approximately two weeks earlier.

John Flower Jr., 39, described as transient, was also arrested for violation of conditions of release.

Flower was out on bail related to a homicide investigation in Cushing.

The arrests occurred around 9 p.m. when Rockland Police conducted proactive patrols in an area suspected of drug activity and stopped a vehicle for traffic violations.

According to the Rockland Police Department, officers have made multiple narcotics arrests through proactive patrols and executed several narcotics-related search warrants over the past year.

The department stated it continues to work with Rockland Code Enforcement, landlords and property owners to address nuisance properties while collaborating with recovery community partners to provide resources to those seeking substance use treatment.
