BROOKFIELD — A West Winfield woman faces charges after allegedly entering a Brookfield residence without permission on April 10.
New York State Police responded to a report of trespassing at a home on Forks Road in Brookfield, Madison County, on April 12.
The homeowner told police he was alone when he heard a noise coming from his kitchen around 12 p.m. on April 10.
Upon investigating, he discovered an unknown woman standing inside his residence.
The woman left when instructed to do so, according to police.
Following an investigation, state troopers identified the suspect as Rachel Deboer, 54, of West Winfield.
When officers attempted to take Deboer into custody at her residence, she allegedly resisted arrest before being taken into custody without further incident.
Deboer was transported to SP Morrisville and charged with criminal trespass in the second degree and resisting arrest, both Class A misdemeanors.
She was later transported to the Madison County Jail pending arraignment.
