WESTMINSTER — Vermont State Police arrested a 76-year-old Westminster woman Sunday after responding to a report of alleged child abuse at a home in Westminster.
Shirley Sprague was taken into custody at approximately 11:30 a.m. after an investigation revealed she had committed domestic assault and violated both conditions of release and an abuse prevention order, according to police.
Troopers responded to the residence in Windham County following the abuse report.
After her arrest, Sprague was transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing.
Sprague is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division at 12:30 p.m. Monday to answer to the charges.
The identity of the victim is being withheld as Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of domestic violence.
