Springfield man cited for criminal threatening after allegedly confronting neighbor with weapon

SPRINGFIELD — A 55-year-old Springfield man has been cited to appear in court after allegedly threatening a neighbor while armed with a weapon, according to police.

Timothy Boardman was issued a citation on March 26 at 11 a.m. following an investigation into a complaint received by the Springfield Police Department on March 16.

Police said they received the initial report at 2:59 p.m. on March 16.

Officers investigated the incident and determined that Boardman had allegedly threatened a neighbor while armed with a weapon, according to the police report.

Boardman is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on May 20 at 8 a.m. to answer to the charge of criminal threatening.
